The birth of Jesus:
There are reams of information about Jesus Christ in the Bible. Everything we know about Jesus we have learned from the 4 New Testament gospels.
But most of the information in these holy books is pertaining to his immaculate conception and the circumstances surrounding his birth in Nazareth.
Then later on there is a lot of text describing the last 3 years of his life and his persecution, crucifixion, and resurrection.
There is no account of the intervening years. Brief information is found about how just after his birth Jesus was taken to Egypt to escape persecution from King Herod. The holy family then traveled to many lands and built temples and gathered a following. Later on, they returned home when things settled down.
Wisdom beyond his years:
When Jesus was around 10 years old the family visited Jerusalem. The Jewish festival of Passover was going on and as the family moved on from there, young Jesus was somehow left behind. When his parents discovered his absence they immediately turned back to search for him. They reached Jerusalem in three days.
To their astonishment, they found Jesus in a discussion with learned men and rabbis. He was asking them learned questions and answering their queries. This had been going on for 3 days!
When the parents chided him for doing this and asked him to apologize. He replied that he was just going about in the business of his Holy Father. He had done no wrong.
Jesus was already demonstrating wisdom way beyond his years.
The missing years:
It is astonishing that the next 18 years of his life are given in one short sentence in the Holy Gospels. Could the sources of information about these years of Jesus’ life be found outside the Christian texts?
In 1887 a mission and explorer and writer named Nicholas Notovich made an extraordinary discovery in Tibet in the Himalayas. During his travels through the Himalayas, he stayed in several monasteries, and there he learned of a great prophet named Issa who had come from Palestine. One monk describes Issa as greater than all the Dalai Lamas and who constituted the part of the spirituality of our Lord. Lord Issa had traveled from Palestine and lived and preached in India for many years before returning to his own land. They also said that he then returned to his homeland where he was tortured and put to death, but then the descendants of his killers spread his teachings worldwide.
The Lama at the monastery told Nicholas of documents in the Lhasa monastery which described the tale of Prophet Issa.
The documents told of how a divine child was born to devout parents. Throughout his childhood, he demonstrated wisdom way beyond his years. When he reached the age of 13 he was expected to take a wife according to tradition. Many rich people called at his house offering their daughters hand in marriage.
Travel to India:
But Issa was not willing to marry so he secretly left his house one night and joined a group of wandering merchants who were headed to the far east. The caravan traveled over established trade routes which went from Damascus to Persia and on to India. When he reached Punjab he parted company with the merchants. He was only 14 years at the time. After gaining lots of fame in Punjab he went South to Palitana where he spent time with Jain devotees. Here too he quickly gained respect as a great spiritual person. When the people became enamored of him and begged him to stay with them, he refused and departed for his travels towards the east. Soon he reached Jagannath the present-day Puri where he was warmly welcomed by the Brahmin priests and he stayed there for 6 years.
Soon he had studied all the holy scriptures and had become loved by all who came in contact with him and leter he traveled north to reach Tibet where he lived with Buddhist monks. There he gained knowledge of the ancient Pali language and started teaching the sacred texts. He stayed in Tibet for 6 years before beginning the long journey back to his homeland of Palestine.
Return to Nazareth:
However, the ruling elite and the priests were afraid of his influence and persecuted him and harassed him. He finally reached his hometown of Nazareth in his 29th year. In the last few years of his life, Jesus preached in Nazareth and gathered thousands of followers. This alarmed the rulers and Jesus was arrested for and persecuted and crucified. The merchants who traveled through Palestine and reached India told the story of what had happened to Issa in his own country and it was written in Pali language in Tibet monasteries.
After crucifixion:
In Bhavishya Maha Purana it is stated that Jesus comes to Kashmir in India and meets king Shalivahana about 78 AD and he informs the king that his name Issa, born of a virgin. He further explained how he had fled the torture in Palestine and come here. While in Kashmir he changed his name to Yuz Asaf or Jesus the gatherer. In Kashmir, he preached the 10 tenets originally preached by Gautam Buddha and he found the lost tribes of Israel and preached to them.
Jesus- A Nath Yogi
Water, fire, light- this is baptism of light and sound. The Om technique is the baptism technique, where you are baptized with light and sound. When John-Baptist, while baptizing the people in the river Jordan said, “I baptize you with water; but He who will come after me shall baptize with light and fire.” But here there is no reference of Jesus; where was he then?
At this time, Jesus was in India, learning the baptism technique of light and fire-the Omkar technique with the Indian Yogi- Chetan Nath who named Jesus –Isha Nath; hence he came to be known as Ishwa in India. Ishwa means son of divine lord, or ishwar. So as mentioned in the book, “ Autobiography of Yogi”- what are you doing when practising Kriya Yoga?
-You are bathing in the divine light of the holy spirit.
By the time of Jesus’s advent, the Nath tradition of Yoga was of hoary antiquity. It deeply influenced the yogic and meditative practices of Jesus.
Also as mentioned in “Jesus lived in India”- it is believed that Jesus resided in India for about fifteen years, from the age of fourteen to around thirty years of age, until he returned to Israel. There he taught the dharma, which he learned in India. But this led to severe annoyance of the religious authorities, who later planned for his death by the Romans, occupying Israel.
Chetan Nath, a leading entity of the Nath Yogi Sampradaya, is considered to be guru of Jesus. It is believed that after crucifixion, he revived Jesus by his yogic powers and returning to India, Jesus lived in Himalayas in Kashmir for the rest of his life. Jesus eventually learned Kriya Yoga technique from Chetan Nath.
The tomb of Jesus:
The tomb of Jesus is in Rozabal in Kashmir. The structure surrounding the tomb predates Islamic advent by several centuries. People from all walks of life and religions pay homage at the tomb. As India has done so for thousands of years, it has embraced Yuz Asaf or Jesus the gatherer too and made it her own, an Indian Yogi.
